Dave,
Oh my gosh, you’re retiring! So exciting! I wish you the very best in this new phase of your life. I hope it brings you great happiness. I have so many wonderful memories from working with you and many more from our friendship. Game nights (with the microwave timer), concerts with Em (circling parking lots to find a space where your beemer was less likely to get scratched, getting locked out of that garage that one time. Still so funny to me!), talking music, paying too much for a CD at a Hub concert, lunches with our work crew, bowling! Like Em said, you’re one of my all time favorite people, too.
When working with Team Dave and Lindsay (so many good memories from that time period), I saw firsthand how much the PMP students liked working with you and valued your support. You are a great advisor who directly contributed to making their experience so positive. I was always so impressed with how thoughtful you were about how best to serve our students and show that they mattered to our department. I know you’ll be missed very much!
I hope we can keep in touch. It would be great to see you once seeing people is a thing again. Take good care and happy retirement!
Megan
We worked together for the last few years on the PMP program, and, for me, it was a wonderful experience. You managed the program very well, and the personal touches that you added made a huge difference to the students and program overall. Thank you for doing a wonderful job! I wish you all the best in your retirement.

Dave, in the nearly 20 years I’ve known and worked with you, I can’t recall a day where you weren’t unceasingly kind, friendly, and helpful. I feel truly lucky to have known you and wish you a long, happy retirement. Take care and we miss you already.
Dave, we wish you all the best as you move to the next phase. We will miss your kind ways, warm smile and dedication to students.
All the very best!!

Happiest of retirements, Dave!
Working with you was thoroughly enjoyable. You were always impressively genuine and open. Although our work didn’t overlap much, I appreciated the times we talked at events and alumni happy hours, and about your efforts to find diverse participants for PMP programming.
I hope you have a wonderful retirement! Cheers!

Dave,
I’m glad our paths crossed in CSE. I always enjoyed our random chats, especially about sports and the glory days of the Mariners!
Thank you for always being so kind and helpful. On the off chance that I spoke with a PMP student, they always had the most positive things to say about you. You are greatly appreciated and will be missed!

Thank you Dave for always being so kind and helpful to myself and all PMP students. The Allen School will miss you! Hope you have lots of fun, and congratulations! -Allison Manifold

Dear Dave,
Wow, retiring, I can’t believe it’s finally here. We’ve worked together a while now, 20 years, and it’s been quite the journey. From the ‘early days’ when we had time to happy hour with colleagues to sharing family stories and work challenges and joys. When our team was short-staffed you never hesitated to pitch in to help. I will always be grateful for your time and dedication to our students. You easily could have said “not my job” but you rolled up your sleeves and helped us care for our students too. You are one of the most genuine people I know. Your warmth, your kindness, your concern, your compassion, that’s all wrapped up in you Dave. I enjoyed our carpooling time together to catch up on life when we’d work late and the busses had stopped running. Your students were lucky to have you advocating for them all these wonderful years. I wish you all the very best as you proceed onto the next chapter of this amazing journey in your life. Please do keep in touch.~ Crystal
Thank you so much for all your help Dave! I felt like I had a thousand questions and you had all the answers and always handled my questions with a smile. I really appreciate the time you took to walk me through the details of the program. You gave me confidence that it was just the sort of program I was looking for. I’m really glad I was able to overlap with your PMP advising term if only for a few months. Thanks a ton for all your help!
